CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore goalkeeper Madelyn McAteer (Annapolis, Md.) made a career-high six saves in her first career start, but the University of New Hampshire field hockey team was defeated 3-0 by 17th-ranked Harvard University on Sunday afternoon at Harvard Field Hockey Stadium.

DURHAM, N.H. – Kelsey Rudert (North Grafton, Mass.) tied her season high of seven saves, including two in overtime, but the University of New Hampshire field hockey team was edged 3-2 in double OT by 12th-ranked Stanford University in Friday night's Homecoming matchup at Memorial Field. Stanford's Corinne Zanolli redirected Phoebe Crosthwaite's centering pass over Rudert into the cage to end the game at 93:08; Zanolli had also opened the game scoring at 4:37. Crimson goalie Kelsey Bing made two of her seven saves in the extra sessions.   UNH erased a pair of one-goal deficits on goals by Katie Audino (Severn, Md.) and Jessica Schmidt (Warrington, Pa.).

DURHAM, N.H. – Bloem van den Brekel (Eindhoven, Netherlands) recorded two goals and an assist to lead the University of New Hampshire field hockey team to Friday afternoon's 3-1 victory against the University of Vermont at Memorial Field. It marked the first career multiple-goal game for the freshman midfielder, and the five points are also a personal best. Ashley Mendonca (Brampton, Ontario) scored the Wildcats' other goal and was also credited with a defensive save.

GILBERT, Ariz. – Gianna Bensaia (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), a senior midfielder and captain on the University of New Hampshire field hockey team, was named to the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior Game roster on Wednesday. She was one of 38 student-athletes selected to participate for the game that will be held Nov. 17 (7 p.m.) at the University of Louisville in conjunction with the NCAA field hockey championships.

On a sunny Durham day, UNH student-athletes along with members of the community joined together on Thompson Hall lawn as part of the Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Program's (SHARPP) Ninth Annual Anti-Violence Walk and Rally on Thursday, April 11. This event takes place every year to recognize April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
